Lucas+Heather | Washington Ferry Wedding

Lucas proposed to Heather on a ferry to Bainbridge Island and when she said "yes!" they began

to plan their nuptials. When they realized the wedding they were planning wasn't completely

them, they tossed their decisions away and began to put together ideas of the right place for

them to get hitched. Charted buses and limos brought them and their guests aboard the Tacoma

towards Bainbridge Island and the groomsmen hussled upstairs to clear out space for a wonderful

ceremony. It all came together so beautifully - from the seagulls flying alongside the ferry to the

guests hugging the two of them in celebration after they deboarded at Four Swallows Restaurant.

Thank you to Lucas and Heather for allowing me to document such a beautiful fall day. And thank

you to Amber Zbitnoff for shooting alongside me. A few of her images are in the mix as well.

A very rainy day filled with all kinds of beautiful traditions. Korean ceremony, Chinese tea ceremony and American

ceremony all wrapped into one afternoon.

Kate+Richard

I met Kate and Richard a few months back at Oddfellow's Cafe. Kate had called me

last fall in New York where she was planning her wedding. I can't believe how many

of my brides and groom are planning or have planned their weddings from different

states and even countries! Kudos! She did an amazing job because the wedding

celebration was beautiful. Kate and Richard exited the Seattle LDS temple in the early

afternoon and after a bit of teasing from the sun and rainclouds, we lucked out with

a small time frame of dry weather. After we fully used the temple grounds to our

advantage, Kate and Richard headed off to Seastar for a celebratory lunch with friends

and family. We met up after the sun went down for some fun shots at the Seattle

Public Library where Julie Harmsen joined us. Get this, their reception was at a

bowling alley. ACME BOWL in Tukila blew me away with its modern lounge decor

and amazing food service. Guests enjoed pizza, salad and pasta while they played

a few games.  What a great way to end such an exciting day. Thanks  Kate and

Richard for including me!

And thanks Julie for second shooting. Her shots are the first ACME sign photo

and the cool moustache guys.
